CLIMATE DEFENDERS IN ACTION!
Social Responsibility - IES SARRIGUREN BHI, SPAIN
Inspired by what we learnt from Turmepa.org, the 25th of April students from IES Sarriguren BHI took an excursion to the stream nearby the high school.
There, wearing a pair of gloves and a big organic bag, pupils collected trash and took some pictures as one of the last activities of the Climate Defender's project. Apart form that, students also took a water sample from the river in order to analyse it in Biology class afterwards and find out if our surroundings are clean.

Was it clean/dirty...?
At first sight, the water was quite clean and the surroundings are very beautiful: there are some flower fields ans trees and you feel as if you were far away from cities and pollution. But as we walked by we found quite a lot of hidden trash.

-Cans
-Bottles
-Food wrappers
-Plastic beverage
But also other kind of trash, such as pieces of fabric, cardboard and cigarettes, among others.
